We are a praying church surrendered to the truth of Jesus Christ, committed to wholeness, purpose and missional living.

Praying

We believe that prayer is communication with God and that He hears and responds. Prayer comes in many forms. Time apart from everything else to speak to God, read scripture and contemplate. Gathering together corporately to petition almighty God. The quiet cry of the lost and broken. We also see prayer not only as a verbal action of speaking to the Creator but a life that is lived in communion with Him. Prayer is the honest expression of a heart born out of belief and relationship. In other words our Prayers are also found in everything that we do.

1 Thessalonians 5:17

Church

We believe that the church is Gods ongoing presence in the world. We also believe the the church is people, not a building or a program or a mission statement. People. As a community of Christ followers we live out community as we celebrate together, suffer with one another, share what we have with our neighbor and cary one another’s burdens. The church is about unity in diversity as people interact with those who perhaps are little like themselves, we do not feel that we need to segregate people into particular demographics to better reach them. Its about a new humanity coming together to to learn with and from each other.

We also affirm that the church spans all generations and all people that confess Christ as Lord, and follow his teachings. We are One Body. With one Spirit. One Hope. One Lord. OneFaith. One Baptism. One God and Father of all.

Ephesians 4:5

Truth

Truth is a paradox of realities: it is complex and simple, static and dynamic. Although we cannot capture Truth in a sentence, we find its essence in the Triune God. The Father has revealed Himself through the Son by the Holy Spirit. So, Truth is a person. Truth is Jesus and the truth sets us free.

John 14:6

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is God, part of the Godhead Father, Son Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, blameless death and his bodily resurrection. We are forgiven, made free from sin and rescued from hell and death by the shed blood of Jesus. Until His return we have been given the Holy Spirit to comfort, guide, lead, correct, sanctify, empower and equip Christ followers with spiritual gifts helping them in the goal of living a Christ-like life. We believe God has not abandoned the world but has partnered with us in the restoration of all creation.

Wholeness

We are completely integrated creations; mind, body, and soul, emotions and experiences. If any part of us suffers or is unhealthy it affects our entire being, and those around us. When we embrace the salvation Jesus Christ offers us, he redeems every part of us. Its only through the grace, that He freely gives us, where we can find true healing of ourselves, each other, our relationships and all of creation. We believe that our God is a God who wastes nothing, and works all things together for good.

Romans 8:28

Purpose

When you know who you are and what you are here for you can live not only on purpose but for a purpose. We were all created by God for a reason, and when we are doing what we were created to do that’s when we feel the most alive. When we are using our God given talents and gifts, that’s when we find true happiness and contentment.  Purpose involves a lifetime of reaching, exploration and growing in order to impact the lives around us, incorporating anything from technology to art to strategically communicate the good news of Jesus Christ.

Jeremiah 29:11

Missional living

We believe that the Church has been given apostles, prophets, teachers, evangelists and pastors to train and prepare the people to spread the good news of Jesus Christ everywhere. Missional living is committed disciples of Christ preaching the good news with their lives to the people God has placed in their world. Sharing the gospel natively in their context, lighting the way from death to life. Living out the transforming message of resurrection. It is the lifelong task of working out our faith. Because faith is not a destination but a journey where change is assumed, innovation is expected and rebirth is welcomed.
